Wireless adapter driver (Realtek RTL188EE 802.11 bgn) keeps "crashing"

I've had the ongoing issue of randomly losing internet connection. When I troubleshoot the problem, it says:

  • The Realtek RTL188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware-related problems
  • A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken

Usually relentless restarting eventually helps but sometimes I'm left without internet connection for hours. Please help!!!

Hi,

Looled like you upgraded your machine from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 but you have not applied new driver. Please download and install the following Realtek RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Drivers  for Windows 10:

No Bluetooth after upgrading to Windows 10

Hello!

I have an HP Pavilion dv6-6145dx Entertainment Notebook PC, and I recently upgraded to Windows 10 (64-bit).  After upgrading, Bluetooth is nowhere to be found as an option (device manager, etc.).  I checked Partsurfer and it listed part # 630703-001 B/G/N WLAN card.  I believe that this is a Ralink (now Mediatek?) card - possibly Ralink rt-5390 mini pci-express.

Is there any hope for an updated Windows 10 bluetooth driver for me?

Thanks!

Amanda

Re: HP Pavilion 15 - Weak wifi signal from Broadcom card but USB wifi adaptor OK

Hello everybody,

I was playing around with the wifi cards and tried out to unplug the antenna on the wifi card on an old laptop of mine.

Well, I had no wifi signal in a range over 5 meters.

A friend of mine said he had this problem too, hp (I gues the laptop is too the pavillio 15). I told him to look after the antenna at the wifi card.

And there he saw something strange. THe wifi chip card had 2 letterings, one onboard (on the chip card) and one on the a sticker. On the onboard the wifi antenna was plugged in to the channel 2 (L2) and on the sticker it was the channel 1.

Well, he changed the channel, plugged the antenna on the L1 (channel 1 Onboard) and voila, it worked for him very well. No driver updates, no different drivers, nothing. Just the wifi antenna. (Also he had only a wifi antenna, no AUX antenna like some other notebooks)

Hope it helps for you too in that way (if the drivers are not the problem).

Nothing seems to fix or to put it better everything seems to work just for 10 seconds then the router start restarting.
I cant really understand why this happens only when i try to connect my HP lapropts.. Wierdest thing ever seen.
I believe something isnt compatible between HP laptops and Sitecom routers. I am not the expert here but after 4 days that i tried everything that what i think.

Thanks for the reply. I request you to follow the steps below and check if that helps.

I would suggest you to check the power management settings for your wireless adapter and see if that help.
1.Open Network and Sharing Center (click the Start button, type Network and Sharing in the Start Search box, and press Enter)
2.Click on Change adapter settings link in the upper left of the navigation pane.
3.Right click the Wireless Adaptor to enable/disable power management support on and                 Select Properties.
4.Click Configure.
5.On the Power Management tab, check or uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.
A. When checked, power management is enabled on the network adapter.
B. When cleared, power management is disabled on the network adapter.
6.You can enable Wake on LAN for all wake methods or just enable magic packet WoL:
To enable Wake on LAN for all methods, check the Allow this device to wake the computer check box.
To enable Wake on LAN for magic packet only, check the Allow this device to wake the computer check box and then check Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer check box.
7.Click OK.

Hey,

How did the steps work out for you?

I agree.

I can't understand why HP doesn't include dual band cards with bluetooth as standard equipment nowadays.

And now maybe even dual band AC cards with bluetooth.  The additonal cost would probably be $20 to the consumer.

But like you wrote...it is what it is.
