Hello cleemartin,
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. I understand the computer had a problem installing the printer software properly. I will do what I can to assist you, and I apologize for the late response.
If you could, please try these steps to begin troubleshooting:
a) Go to the Start menu, and in the search bar type %temp% and hit enter. If you used the CD to install your printer, open up the CD instead, and go to step "c".
b) Locate the correct folder starting with "7z" (the correct folder contains "Util" and "CCC" folders).
c) Open folder "Util".
d) Open folder "CCC".
e) Please run the L3uninstall.bat.
f) When the uninstall has completed, restart the computer.
g) Run Disk cleanup in "System Tools". I have provided information on how to do this:Delete files using Disk Cleanup
h) Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player:Get Adobe Flash
i) Try to reinstall the printer software and see what happens.
If the same events occur as last time, then please provide me the following information:
- The entire error code, including the .dll file.
- What exactly happens (and the error message) when you try to use HP Solution Center.
Please post your results when finished. I'd like to thank you for posting. Have a great day!
Mario
