You can tell if the driver installed by clicking on the 2230 network adapter in the device manager, then click on the driver tab and see what version is installed.
The new Intel wireless drivers are odd. Some icon shows up and kind of sits there and then just disappears after a minute and you don't get any messages of any kind.
OK...try this next.
Go to the advanced settings for your wireless card, see link below for info on where to access, and change the Roaming Aggressiveness to Lowest.

If that doesn't help, get into your router's wireless configuration settings and change the broadcast channel to 11 or 1 and see if that helps.
You may be experiencing interference on your default or auto broadcast channel because of your neighbors wireless networks.
Normally, most of us set up our routers using the default settings and if we are all broadcasting on the same channel and our networks are close by, that causes issues with some wireless cards.
