If anything else, just reply here and we can try the final (and a bit trickier) option!
Hi, I am looking for help.
I have a HP Elitebook 8440p that I recently upgraded to windows 10. I also did a bios update from F50 to F60. All hardware drivers are found and installed. There are no errors in the hardware management window and everything is peachy.
Today however, I discovered that my wifi isn't working.
The wifi button seems to work, the little light goes from orange to blue and then my blue-tooth is working fine (I connected with my phone in a jiffy).
If I go to my network center and click the adapters, the wifi tile has a red cross and is not connected. When I click to connect, it sends me to the windows 10 network GUI with the wifi button. I tried to turn it on but it will not. It stubbornly refuses to turn on.
The adapter in question is a Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300 AGN, I uninstalled it, en grabbed the latest driver from the Intel support site. But nothing changed. I tried to bridge the network adapter, and I tried to let windows10 do a troubleshooting run, and windows keeps insisting I should "turn on the wifi button" on the laptop, but it's already turned on, and blue, and the blue-tooth works.
Since the laptop says all drivers are fine, and the wifi led on the keyboard works as advertised, I am kinda stumped why it refuses to work. Do I need some kind of driver for the wifi button?
Any advice is welcome, thanks for your time.
Transjuicer.
Thanks !
So they're not Cisco VPN client even if they're related with networking. I will leave them on my notebook.

Hi:
Try tweaking some of the advanced settings.
Some Intel cards are acting very strangely on W10.
Enable WMM for starters, and set the Roaming Aggressiveness to Lowest.
Here is a list of advanced settings for most Intel wlan cards.

For some reason I cannot set up my printer to print in color. I have printed if color several times before but somehow I have managed to set the settings in the Print screen in such a way that all I get when I press Print is black. I have tried printing both .jpg and .pdf with the same results.
Any ideas?
Hello,
I have notebook HP 240 G3 with Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter. I am using OS Windows 10 64 bit.
My problem is,that wifi networks doesn't shown on my laptop. I have to re-install the wifi driver after every boot to make it work, but it works only for that session, after re-boot same problem. Could you please tell me what should i do?
Notes:
1. UEFI test of wifi module shown passed.
2. All drivers are up to date(wifi driver version: 5.0.57.0).
3. I've already re-installed window, but no luck.
Thank you
So is this being chalked up as a "compatibility issue" now and no more help is to be provided?
I have a HP 5500 DN Color Laser printer with a HP JetDirect card (model J7934G) installed.
1. How can I get an Insignia USB to Ethernet adapter (USB 2.0) to work with the HP JetDirect card and print.
2. There is a 'parallel' port on the printer but it looks much smaller than a normal (old school) parallel printer port. It is right at 1-inch tall where a 'normal' (old School) one is about 1-3/4 -inch tall. If I want to use that port, what kind of cable do I need?
Thanks in advance.
I'm sorry to say that the problem is still the same.
I have noticed that my laptop takes longer to open all icons etc when I do the 'Restart' then when I simply swith on. It's as if the switch on takes a shortcut and maybe missed some processes - although the only problem I experience is the lack of internet access - although it is connected to whatever modem I'm using in different homes I stay in.
My wifi adapter is Railink R3290 802.11 bgn and it does say that I have the latest network driver if this is of any help.
Such a blooming nuisance and mystery that every time it fixes if I do a restart??????
Earlier i was having windows 10 in which i had a wifi. NOw i have installed windows 7 after that i couldnt update the network controller drive
help out in this
Ive only had my computer for a few weeks. When I first started using it, it was very slow and the wifi kept cutting in and out. I thought it was an issue with just my computer until everyone in my house was having the same problem I was having. Cutting off at the same time. So I thought it was the router (we never had any problems before I got this computer). But I thought about it and noticed that the time I got the computer was the same time we started to have router problems. So I turned my computer off for a day. NO router problems for any of the other computers. I turn it back on for a day, router problems for everyone.
I homeschool, so my computer is vital to my kids schooling. Because there computers are connected to mine to do school (wirelessly). So right now I have it hooked up to my router by ethernet cable (very inconvient this way, cause these really no safe place to put my computer where the router is set up). And it works great on just the cable. No wifi cut offs for anyone esle either. So my computer is causing the Wifi crashing.
I have done all my Windows and HP updates. And have updated my wireless driver (Realtrk RTL8188EE 802.11)

Hello. I need help.
My laptop HP G42 230 BR simply stopped to access the internet and I notice in the device manager that the Network Controller & pci simple communication controller drivers are missing. I tried installing some drivers I found online but with no success. I formated and reinstalled windows 7 and still the same.
Please, how can I fix this issue? Any help would be really appreciated!
Thak you.
Hello,
I am having the same problem, the Qualcomm AR9485 driver is supposed to be in a new SP from HP but it does not work. I would appreciate getting a copy or something to download that will work with an HP Pavilion G7 notebook. Please notify me how to get it. The current stuff on Support.hp.com does not work. I am installing Win 7 Pro that I purchased as a fall back 2nd OS on my laptop so I can upgrade to Win 10 by 7/26/16. I cannot get the unit online under the new OS but I do have it online using the old Win 7 Home Premium. The info from the Device Manager shows the differences quite clearly, no network controller in the new OS but clearly Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 in the old OS.
Thanks much,
Dave

Hi:
You need this driver for the pci simple communication controller:
This package provides the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver for the supported notebook models and operating systems. The Intel Management Engine Interface enables communication between the host operating system and the Intel Management Engine firmware.
File name: sp52353.exe
You need this driver for the network controller, according to the parts list for your PC.
