You're very welcome.

From what I can tell from your screenshot, the Realtek wifi adapter has completely disappeared from the device manager, which is not a good thing.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to go to the device manager, at the top of the device manager window, click on the View tab.

Select the Show Hidden Devices option.

Now go back to the network adapters device manager category.

You should now see the Realtek wifi adapter in light shade.

Right click on it, select Uninstall.  Check the uninstall driver box, restart the PC, and see if windows installs it normally again.

If it keeps disappearing I would try backing up your files and do a factory reset of the notebook.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, most likely the wifi card has a hardware defect and would need to be replaced.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to clean install W10 as follows...

Back up any files you need to keep onto a portable hard drive.

If you any software that needs to be reinstalled, make sure you have the installation files and product keys, if applicable.

You can reinstall W10 for free by using the media creation tool at the link below to create a bootable USB W10 installer.

Use another working Windows PC to create the installation media, since you can't connect to the internet right now.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

When you get to the part of the installation script that asks 'Where do you want to install Windows?' delete every partition on the hard drive, leaving just one partition of unallocated space.  Then click Next, and W10 v1903 should install .

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Stream-11-y000-Laptop-PC/12499227

With this method, you will have the maximum amount of drive space available out of that tiny 32 GB drive.

I have reinstalled the drivers and restarted a few times and it worked this time.

After showing the hidden devices it looks like everything is ok with the drivers. Please check the attached photo. Its working now and it will again stop working when I will restart it next time.

Do you think is it still the issue with network adapter as it works just perfect sometime?

My HP Envy 7640 printer will no longer print from my Chromebook.  It prints from all other computers in the house, as well as iPhone.  This happened recently.  We cannot figure it out.  Through the Chromebook it says that the printer needs intervention, but it does not.  And, if we go into the HP Smart app it says the printer is ready.  So frustrating.  Have spent hours and getting nowhere.  Can anyone help?  I am on Windows 10 pro it says.

Hi:

Yes, it looks fine now according to your screenshot.

Uninstall all of those light shaded devices you see listed there.

You don't need them.

They are getting created every time the wifi adapter shows up.

If it happens again, the only way you are going to be able to confirm the wifi adapter is bad would be to factory reset the notebook, or clean install W10 and see if the problem reoccurs.

There really is no way to software test a wifi card to see if it is defective or not.

Or if you just want to go ahead and replace the wifi adapter now, then you may as well upgrade it.

I recommend this model since your notebook only has one antenna cable attached to the wifi adapter.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,  I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: ( do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating )

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

And, also run BIOS Update:Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I recently bought my HP Envy 13 aq002na laptop, I updated Windows and the BIOS yesterday and that’s when the problem started. The Intel Wireless AC 9650 network adapter doesn’t work and I cannot connect to any networks. It’s throws out “The device cannot start. (Code 10) {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful.” I have tried everything that was suggested on the internet and still no luck

constant resetting of the wi fi adapter required

For sometime now my internet has been disconnecting, often 2 to 3 times in an hour. To reconnect, I right click on the wireless icon at the bottom right of the screen (task bar) and select the " Troubleshoot Problems". After this feature completes, the troubleshooter resets the Wi-Fi ADAPTER and this has me up and running again. This is driving me crazy. I have updated the drivers...I have backdated the drivers... I have followed some suggestions via the internet...but nothing helps!

Firstly. let's try performing a system restore and check: System Restore returns your computer to the files and settings from the restore point. Your personal files and documents are not affected. Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03327545 to perform System Restore (Windows 10, 😎

What model wifi adapter does your notebook have?

Thank you for the instructions.  The laptop is fairly new so a reinstall shouldn't be too painful.

Help! Wifi shows limited access no internet. I have trying to fix this from past 10 days with no results

In Device Manager there are no errors indicated with the device or its drivers.

Wifi adapter - Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter

With lots of research on net and forums i tried below options but still it did not fix issue.

Reinstalled OS

Reinstalled wifi driver

Updated wifi driver

Disabling the Power Off option for the adapters
Resetting the TCP/IP settings
Resetting the Winsock catalogue
Checked router settings and wifi works in other laptops
Checked with different wifi still same issue

Please help to provide some insights on how to fix this.

What I can see is a Bluetooth

Bluetooth Network Conn... Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Netw... 14 Disconnected 60-57-18-70-6C-D6 3 Mbps

Which suggests an adapter is present, Intel of Malaysia.  These being the most likely...

  • Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11a/b/g/n (2x2) Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 802.11ac (1x1) Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter

With...Intel WLAN Driver 21.10.0.5 Rev.L   211.5 MB  May 23, 2019  Download   being the most likely.

The WLANSVC service provides the logic required to configure, discover, connect to and disconnect from a wireless local area network (WLAN) as defined by IEEE 802.11 standards. It also contains the logic to turn your computer into a software access point so that other devices or computers can connect to your computer wirelessly using a WLAN adapter that can support this. Stopping or disabling the WLANSVC service will make all WLAN adapters on your computer inaccessible from the Windows networking UI. It is strongly recommended that you have the WLANSVC service running if your computer has a WLAN adapter.

So WINKEY + R  and type    services.msc    and investigate.

It is looking like a failed piece of hardware.

Caveat Emptor.
