I receive this message whenever I try to boot up the computer. It will not boot. I also receive "status:0xc000000f
I also received "info:ihe boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible." The computer is an HP model 2000-299wm notebook pc. It is a windows 7 system with a dual-core celeron processor. Will the installetion disk for this model fix this problem or am I buying a hard drive along with the disk?

Have you tried to search to MANY, MANY, MANY problems before upgrading your machine to Windows 8.1 ? Please try the following driver:

my two brothers and i all recieved brand new HP 1000-1403AU Notebook PC's for christmas and all three devices are identical.
eversince powering mine up i havent been able to connect to my wireless internet for mor than about three minutes. none of the other devices including phones and tablets that are also connected the the wifi have had this issue. just mine.
i have troubleshooted and was told to check if my adapter's drivers were up to date. i have updated and reinstalled the drivers twice and it hasnt helped.
HI, since i updated my HP ENVY Sleekbook 6 PC from windows 8 to windws 8.1 my computer has not been recognising my router. In the network connections it is showing other routers but not mine. All other computers in the house are detecting the router. I am able to access internet via ethernet cable.

Hey guys since the laptop was delivered I had been having connection issues. My router has the latest firmware(Linksys E2500 rev 1). My replacement wlan card was delivered today and that is also giving me trouble.
I had modified the power settings to see what could be causing it and nothing.
I updated the drivers for the wlan card that came with the laptop(Realtek RTL8188EE), I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them.
Same goes for the new wlan card(Atheros AR9485) installed new drivers and modified power settings.
Connection drops very frequently and stables eventually and then drops again later on.
Any help and suggestions? This laptop is a really good one and I hate to return it or exchange it.

In order to have bluetooth, you need a bluetooth hardware device.
You can either puchase an external usb bluetooth adapter, or you can order one of the supported combination wireless/bluetooth cards listed in chapter 3, page 18 of the service manual at the link below.
They must have the HP part number on them or they will not work.
It is possible they may not work even if they have the HP part number on them.
My notebook - HP Pavilion g6-2235tx Notebook PC - is not included in the list provided by Dunidar.
In my Windows Update (Optional) I had two Graphic drivers for updating but looking around a number of forums it seems there may well be issues with overheating and fast battery discharge if they are applied - I for one am not prepared to be a test bunny.
Generally the number of issues directly due to the installation of Win 8.1 leads me to believe MS has not done due diligence in advising both hardware and software suppliers of what is required for their products nor the lead time to update the products to operate with 8.1 correctly. The approach seems to be let 8.1 loose in the wild and see what happens and this case has millions of users totally pissed-off. This of course flows on to all the manufacturers of products that have 8.1 installed.
I not solved my original problem have SOLVED my issues by taking two days to:
create an image of 8.1 C-drive
format the C-drive
recover the original Win 8 OS
install a C-drive image from just prior to installing 8.1
recover user files from my time with 8.1 from the 8.1 image
I have to say during this process I tried to use system repair discs produced Win 8 and Paragon B & R and the system failed to access the optical drive at any time. I am left wondering what is the use of creating a system repair disc if it cannot be used.
I am now happily back with Win 8 but would like to send MS an invoice for all the days I have wasted trying to sort their mess. Maybe a class action is required by all those who have wasted their time with this product to make MS lift their game - I would be one of the first on the list.

Crashed again..... Is there anyway I can restore back to Win 8 and not loose any of my Files ?? and maybe install back to 8.1, then everything might be fine, because after shifting to 8.1, my led light for mute button is also not turning on. this once happened in win8 but after a restart it started working again...
So restoring to Win 8 without interfering with my files would be really helpful.... wanna get rid of this problem before New Year because I know evem you won't like to work during New year's eve.
I recently bought a HP Pavilion Laptop and it works perfectly except that my internet connection(wireless) no matter where i am in my house drops about every 5-15 minutes. I usually troubleshoot or just restart and reconnect to the wifi for another 15 minutes before it goes out again. i am not sure how to fox this so any suggestions or help would be very much appreciated.
